My Best Friend is getting married!!

After 25 plus years of friendship, and me constantly nagging her it was time to take the leap, my best friend Debbie has announced she will be getting married this month! YAYYY!! I am so excited for her! So what better way to let her know I am so happy for her?? That's right! Make a mini scrapbook!

This album measures about 7.50" X 6.50" and can easily hold 50 plus 4X6 photos. The covers are chipboard and the pages all have pockets with a pull out tag that can hold four 4X6 photos. On the back inside cover I included a waterfall (Thank you Kathryn Krieger on YouTube) that can hold 11 4X6 photos. The paper used is DCWV "Everlasting Love". Most of the embellishments are from K & Company & Creative Imaginations (Rub-ons). I had bought a pack of wedding stickers, but cannot remember the name of the brand. The wedding dress and tuxedo top I made from card stock (found from tutorials on YouTube). Other than the above mentioned items, I used Tim Holtz distress ink (black), black ribbon, stickles, black card stock and flat back pearls. I did not take a picture of the front cover before giving it away, but it said "Our Wedding". I had so much fun making this mini album! Can't wait for it to be filled with pictures from my best friends special day!

"Family" Mini for SIL

I never imagined when I married my husband that I would acquire such loving, caring in-laws. Each one of them are very special to me and I am so blessed to have them in my life.

I wanted to show my sister in law just how much I treasured our bond that we immediately had once we met and how much I truly enjoyed having her as a "sister". I made her a scrapbook mini out of paper bags. Just regular, plain jane, paper bags you can buy at Wal-Mart to put your children's lunches in. When I first seen a tutorial online about using paper bags as pages...I was like NO WAY! I couldn't grasp how in the world it was possible. Well, turns out it's very possible. So, I had to rush to the store, buy me some paper bags and get started on this immediately!

I used Colorbok's Anthology paper, Walnut distress ink by Tim Holtz, paper bags, glitter (lots of glitter!), buttons, Scrabble Tiles, Jolee's Boutique butterflies & gears embellishments, green & brown ribbon and green liquid pearl. All the sunflowers I made by hand (from tutorials on YouTube). The fonts used are from the "Type Candy" Cricut Cartridge. The saying on the front - "Where Life begins and lover never ends. Family" I found free on the internet. Most, if not all, of the techniques I used in this book are from tutorials that can be found on YouTube.

Christmas mini for SIL

Since I was so impressed with the mini album I made for my mother in law, I just had to make another one for my sister in law. This one was twice as fun and not so much sweat and tears were involved (since I figured it all out on the first one). It's not quite the same as my mother in law's, however, there are some embellishments that are the same. The same paper line was used as well as the pages being chipboard. The letters on the front are made out of foam and covered with glitter.

Mini Christmas album for MIL

December 2013, I decided to make my mother in law Jana a Christmas Mini Scrapbook. It turned out rather nice. I used chipboard for the pages. The paper was by Paper Studio "Winter Wonderland". Most of the die-cuts were made from my Cricut using the "Christmas Cheer" and "Winter Frolic" cartridges. The font used was from "Lyrical Letters" and "Storybook" Cricut Cartridges. I believe I also used the "Elegant Edges" Cricut Cartridge as well in this mini album. The red & white poinsettas on the front cover were hand cut. Once it was all done, it measured 7.5" X 7.5" and was quite heavy! I am so happy my MIL enjoyed this mini album!  A lot of sweat, tears, glue and glitter went into making it! :)
