Butterflies

My last post for the day! Whew!

I was not able to capture all the scrapbooks that I have made in the past 2 years since I began this blog. Some of the albums were made as gifts and given without taking pictures. Some are STILL in progress! A few are future gifts that I will take pictures and post when the intended person receives. I have also done other papercrafting projects for co-workers/friends without even thinking of taking pictures. I will try to do better in the future!!

This album measures 6 1/4" x 5" has 6 pages and holds 40+ pics. Each page is an envelope that holds a matte. The pocket in the back cover holds another smaller album that can be used for journaling or hold an additional 20 smaller pictures. The paperline used is Die Cuts With A View - Mariposa Stack. I love love LOVE this paperline. It has glitter, butterflies, beautiful colors and is just so lovely. This is actually my 2nd album to make using this paperline. No embellishments have been added as I just can't bring myself to add any. The paper is so stunning I really don't want to cover up any of it with embellishments.

Halloween Album

This album was made in September of 2015 using the Halloween Basic Paper Pad by Recollections. I had taken my scrapbooking tools and this paper pad to my dad's while visiting him. At that time he was sleeping/resting alot, so I needed something to occupy my time.

This is the first and only Halloween Album I have ever made. Didn't add any embellishments as I thought the paperline really didn't need it. I did add orange and black ribbon to the tags. Hope you like it as much as I did.

Brag Book for Cockrum Wedding Album

Soon after I finished the Wedding Album  and Keepsake Box for the Cockrums, my daughter Katie decided she wanted to help me make an album. Since we had scrap paper left over from the project, we decided to make a little "Brag Book". At first it was just a how-to as my daughter was very interested in the whole process. Once the book was done, we sat it up on the shelf just to look at and admire. No plans had been made for this book. When my friend came to pick up the Cockrums Wedding Album, we showed her the "Brag Book". She showed interest in it and thought it would be a great gift from the soon to be married couples son. So we added the Wood "C" on the front and sold it to the couples son.

I think my daughter did an amazing job helping me with this tiny book. So glad to have had this special bonding time with her. Thank you Katie!

Bonus Item For the Cockrums Wedding Album

So as I sat there looking at the finished Wedding Album for the Cockrums, I thought to myself "This album is amazing. You know what would look good with this? A keepsake box to put it in." I wasn't asked to make a keepsake box, but I felt it was needed. There was plenty of paper and embellishments left over to do it, so why not? I mean, I have only made one box from scratch, it wasn't that exciting to look at! I figured I would give it another try and I sure did impress myself!

Wedding Album for the Cockrums

The last Wedding Album I posted had such a HUGE response I was commissioned to make another one for my long time friend Cathy. As with the last one, this would be another wedding gift. This album was made the same size and almost the same design. There were a few tweaks and changes . Few request were given to me - to not make it "girly". Very light on flowers (like almost NO flowers LOL), light on glitter and NO Pearls. Basically, keep it simple, yet elegant. Well, I tried my hardest and think I did a great job!

The paperline and most of the embellishments used are from Me And My Big Ideas "You & Me" Collection with the exception of the front cover. The heart paper on the front cover was a random sheet purchased separately at Michael's. I am not sure of the brand. Instead of pearls I added a few clear Rhinestones here and there. Cricut Cartridge used - "Tie the Knot", punches used - Martha Stewart's Butterfly and EK Success Heart. On this album I included a charm closure. This was my first time doing a closure like this. I spent more time on that closure than I care to admit. Was definitely a challenge!

Wedding Album for the Thompsons

This album was made for a dear friend, Kellyn, to give as a wedding gift. It measures 9"X7" and holds 120 plus pics. Includes 6 pages, each with a pullout matte than can hold 4 4X6 pics or 8 4X4 pics. This album has lots of real estate than can hold many photos! This was my first attempt at making an album of this size. I had so much fun making this album!

The paperline used was by Recollections - Vintage Country. The "T" on the front and all of the wedding sayings were made on my Cricut with the cartridge "Tie the Knot" (including the church). The cake and lace/burlap flowers was purchased at Wal-mart (not quite sure of brand). Remaining flowers and embellishments are Recollections. The frame on the spine of album (I believe) is by Spare Parts.  Many flat back pearls (Recollections) and liquid pearls (Ranger) were used throughout the album. Butterflies are from Martha Stewart's Butterfly Punch (my absolute favorite!!).
